As part of the activities of the research group: Globalisation and Spatial Practice, the University of Sheffield School of Architecture invites submissions of VISUALS (design, fine art, illustration, photography...).
Anyone can enter!
Please submit an initial image (jpeg, tiff, pdf) of your intended visual material addressing projects carried out in border areas, as defined in the conference abstract below. The image should be accompanied by a 150 word caption that explains briefly the intentionality of your image. Submissions should be sent to Beatrice De Carli by Wednesday 22nd October 2014. Selected entries will then need to be handed in as high resolution images by Wednesday 5th November 2014 (printing format to be agreed with individual authors).
There are no submission fees or limit on the number of entries. Please download full details here.
The exhibit will be public and will be displayed during the Border Topologies conference on the 26th November 2012, at The Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. As well as receiving a certificate, the chosen posters will be consider for a future publication and will be featured in the conference's website.
